After confirming his headlining SoFi Stadium show, Kaskade wanted to beef up the production for the occasion, while also striving to do the original justice. In a series of tweets, Kaskade shares how the updated version of “Haunt Me” came to be.

I needed to find that balance of it being epic enough for a stadium but not take away from the song itself because it is so beautiful in its original form. I tried a few different approaches and was so happy when I found this lane for it, it’s such a nice balance. I’m so excited to have it come out.

lupa Debuts on mau5trap with Gritty Techno Single, “For The Ride” [LISTEN]

lupa makes her triumphant debut on mau5trap with her brooding new single, “For The Ride.”

The production features heavy, driving energy and bold, theatrical swells. Shifting elements come in and out of the mix at all the right moments, shaping a dark and twisted acid-tinged journey through sound.

Having cut her teeth on music of the UK underground, swiftly rising producer lupa takes a different approach to the traditional club sound. Dark, gritty undertones control her creations, and “For The Ride” delivers her most polished work to date with undeniable edge.

lupa shares of the release:

The goal with all my music is to create a journey for the listener. “For the Ride” is no exception. The aesthetics of the song are loosely inspired by 90’s racing games, and I imagine the song played alongside an epic chase through a futuristic city.

LP Giobbi & HANA Join Forces on Hypnotizing Single for Spotify, “Close Your Eyes” [LISTEN]

LP Giobbi and HANA have unleashed an intoxicating new single together, “Close Your Eyes,” out now via Insomniac Records.

House music powerhouse LP Giobbi connects with fast-emerging songstress HANA on this stunning collab, as their distinct styles play off each other beautifully. Persistent piano strikes lead the production, backed by a smooth, four on the floor groove and a touch of acid. HANA’s vocals melt into the melodic wonderland with hypnotizing appeal, making for an immersive listening experience.

LP Giobbi shares of the release:

I wanted to write an ethereal track to provide a moment of inward serenity on the dancefloor. As soon as it was in a good place, I knew I had to send it to HANA — the ultimate ethereal goddess! The track completely flowed from there. HANA is a complete pro in the studio and working with her took this song to the next level.

HANA adds:

LP and I met last year and were instant friends. We had a call and both quite literally exploded into conversation about 10 things simultaneously. We couldn’t wait to work on a track together, and LP sent this track. Finishing the song was insanely easy; we worked extremely fast and had so much fun in the studio. We are kindred spirits, and I am so happy to have a song with LP. I hope you feel euphoric when you hear it.

“Close Your Eyes” serves as the latest installment of Spotify’s highly coveted ‘mint Singles’ series, the offshoot of the platform’s ‘Spotify Singles’ releases.

For best results, close your eyes and let the music take over!

Hardwell Returns with Rare Private Party Set b2b Ran-D in the Netherlands [WATCH]

Hardwell recently returned to the decks in a rare b2b performance with Ran-D at a rather unusual venue, Paintball Games Venhorst in the Netherlands.

Considering Hardwell’s decision to step back from DJing and touring, this was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise for attendees of the private event — and for fans all around the world.

Video footage has surfaced of the performance, which shows Hardwell and Ran-D throwing down main stage bangers for an extremely intimate crowd. Singalongs, somersaults, and good times were had.

Back in 2018, Hardwell announced he’d be taking time to focus on himself. He stated, “Being Hardwell 24/7 leaves too little energy, love, creativity and attention for my life as a normal person to do so.”

“I want to come back stronger than ever,” he added, “but for now, I’m just going to be me for a while.”

Perhaps Hardwell has caught the DJ bug again! Watch below!

SuperAve. Makes EP Debut On Deadbeats With “The Streets Hear Everything”

We love it when a label acts like more than just a machine to pump out music, instead honing in on a culture and elevating it. Among the dime a dozen EDM labels that have popped up over the past decade, Deadbeats is one of the few that consistently pushes new artist and sounds. Yesterday, SuperAve. made their EP debut on the label with The Streets Hear Everything.

Not a lot is known about SuperAve., as the producer has taken on a mystery approach, following in the early footsteps of ZHU, as well as 1788-L, Malaa, and others. We do know they’re from South Carolina and they take a heavy influence from the sounds of southern trap in their bass music.

That much is evident in TSHE, with plenty of crossover elements in each track, from the drums to the synths to the bass. Over the course of these five tracks, calling upon Detroit rapper FowL and another unknown artist, jELACEE, you’ll get to know SuperAve. a lot better.

Check it out below, out now via Deadbeats!

Armin van Buuren Continues ASOT 1000 Celebration with ‘A State of Trance FOREVER’ Album [LISTEN]

Armin van Buuren’s globally syndicated A State Of Trance radio show hit 1000 episodes in 2021 — and the celebration continues with a brand new, collab-focused album, A State of Trance FOREVER.

The 12-track collection leads with Armin’s official ASOT 1000 Anthem “Turn The World Into A Dancefloor,” followed up by massive, trance-infused collaborations with Sander van Doorn, Rank 1, Paul Oakenfold, Aly & Fila, Push, Jorn van Deynhoven, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Susana and more.

Armin shares of his ASOT journey:

I started A State Of Trance to share the music I love with people from all over the world, and I’m so proud that it turned into a full-blown community for everyone who loves Trance music. A State Of Trance has not only allowed me to stay in touch with my fans and share my own music, but also to spotlight the established and up-and-coming artists I admire.

He also speaks on the FOREVER project:

For ASOT 1000, I wanted to do something special. So I decided to do a collaboration album with some of my favorite artists and sat down with them to create trance tracks that will last the fans at least another thousand episodes. We have put a lot of love in these records and hope you will have a blast listening to them, especially since there will be more albums to come in the ‘A State Of Trance FOREVER’ series.

SLANDER & Ganja White Night Drop First Collab Together “Miss You” [LISTEN]

SLANDER and Ganja White Night have joined forces on their first-ever collaboration together, “Miss You.”

The song checks all the boxes on a signature SLANDER production, with heartfelt vocals, lush synths and melodics woven throughout. While the first orchestral drop lends to their style as well, the second drop screams Ganja White Night, with abrasive growls and fierce dubstep flow.

“Miss You” follows up another high profile collaboration from SLANDER, “Gravity” with Subtronics featuring JT Roach. Also in 2021, they’ve unleashed “When I’m With You” with Synymata featuring neverwaves and “Anywhere” with Au5 featuring shYbeast & PLYA.

Listen as the sonic worlds of SLANDER and Ganja White Night collide on “Miss You.” Out now via Gud Vibrations and Subcarbon Records.
