capshun Launches FUXWITHIT Label with Transformational New Single, “Morph” [LISTEN]

capshun just dropped a powerful new production, “Morph,” serving as the inaugural release from FUXWITHIT the label.

“Morph” delivers an evocative, emotive introduction, with beauty and aggression intertwined. The expert producer known as capshun has mastered the art of carving out unique experiences through sound and this trap-infused wonder-production really has it all.

capshun shares in his own words:

“Morph” signifies how I am constantly changing and reworking who I am creatively. I am sure it’s needless to say but I love making a lot of different music. So to create something that is still me but even more than who I have been musically, kind of feels like I am morphing and transforming my creative spirit. I want everyone to feel all the different emotions on this one. The sadness, the joy, the HYPE, the anger and put it into perspective of the song.

Amplifying their “Champions of the Underground” mentality, this first release from FUXWITHIT sets the bar for what’s to come.

Your EDM Premiere: Manchester Dance Pop Duo Saintz Realease, ‘You’ll Always Find a Way’

We are always on the lookout for new talent and it is a pretty special feeling we discover something stand out. Today is a prime example. Pop dance duo Saintz release the euphoric and melodic, ‘You’ll Always Find a Way’. For the last year throughout the quarantine the duo of Danny Stephenson and Destiny Owen aka Saintz have been working quietly putting together new music for 2021 and making time to connect when possible. You summer inspired chord progressions, subtle yet inspiring harmonies and a big climatic sunset calling chorus. We are excited to bring further updates on these exciting talents.

Commenting on this release, the guys state:

“With the songs lyrics being all about travel, we wanted to capture that in the video for ‘Beautiful World’. However, being 2021 and the restrictions that has given us we headed to our videographers house on the Isle of Wight to shoot the video. We spent three days on the cliffs, on the beach and on the water capturing good times with good friends. We wanted a crossover of cinematic, beautiful locations and candid shots of us all just having a good time. A music video can definitely make you feel a certain way, and we wanted this to be a feel good watch.”

deadmau5 Releases Official Music Video w/ Lights Made Entirely With User-Created Worlds on Manticore’s CORE

Back in July, deadmau5 released his second collaboration with Lights, “When The Summer Dies.” A month later, he announced he was releasing his own virtual world, Oberhasli, made using Manticore’s CORE engine. Now, one more more after that, the two have collided with the official music video for the single, made entirely with user-created worlds on CORE.

This incredible collaboration with deadmau5 and Core creators resulted in more than 130 entries from around the world that spanned gritty underground cities to psychedelic visions to war-torn landscapes. Several of the creators who participated have unique backgrounds, with many having little to no prior professional game development experience, and yet were still able to make stunningly beautiful 3D worlds in just a few days.

“I’ve been experimenting with the confluence of music and tech for a long time, and now with games, I’m able to take it to a whole other level,” said Joel Zimmerman who is deadmau5. “Typically it takes months and hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of dollars to make a music video. In this case, we were able to pull together a video with stunning 3D worlds in just a couple of months by crowdsourcing the creation to the Core community and deadmau5 fans. The quality of the interactive experiences and the speed with which they were made was unbelievable and demonstrates why more artists are seeking out unique opportunities inside of games to extend new experiences to their audiences.”

Check out the video below and continue scrolling for some examples of fan submissions.

Sino (creator of A Cyberpunk Dream – game link and video link) – Sino is a music producer for local artists in Pakistan turned Core creator. His earnings from Core helped him pay his bills, rent, etc. and support his family during the pandemic. He switched careers and is now a full-time game developer.

Dragonballduraq (creator of Abandoned Stage Sub) – Dragonballduraq is a 19 year-old recent high school graduate. She joined Core three days after the jam started and made a winning submission in seven days using Core for the first time and having no professional experience making games or environments.

BFM (creator of deadmau5 Submission) – BFM worked as a pizza delivery person for years and now makes Core games during his spare time. He has won many Core contests and challenges and used his earnings to pay bills. BFM’s world uses a dismal junkyard as a backdrop for the star of our jam in a manner befitting the cyberpunk theme.

REPORT: DJ Equipment More Expensive & In Short Supply in 2021

In 2021, DJ equipment is more expensive and in short supply, according to a new report.

Third party distributor DJ Tech Tools reveals a number of factors over the past 18 months that have led to high demand and low supply in the dance music gear industry.

These factors include the rising costs of parts, labor and shipping, as well as chip shortages and the demand for live events recovering slowly. The used market is currently a good source for buying equipment, but prices are still inflated.

DJ Tech Tools recommends, “If you’re looking to buy DJ gear or production hardware in the next 6 months, start thinking about it now.”

While the lockdown proved to be an opportune time to get into DJing and music production, equipment may be more difficult to acquire until these ongoing situations level out.

Shadient drops two-track release & lyric video for ‘Crash’ & ‘Roadworks’

Shadient’s debut album is due this fall, and he just released the final two tastes of what’s to come — and if these and the other singles are any indication, this is going to be a phenomenal album.

‘Crash / Roadworks’ once again shows off 23-year old London artist’s superior sound design, with the help of fknsyd and Catnapp on “Crash.” The two are incredibly different sides of the electronic musical spectrum, pairing dark industrial bass with a callback to 2010s UK pop.

Shadient didn’t stop at just producing the tracks, he also offers a visual element to go along with the singles in a joint lyric video, which he created himself. Using motion graphics, old film footage and other captivating visuals, the video shows off the dichotomy between the two releases, ‘CRASH’ being dark and heavy, ‘Roadworks’ being light and promising.

Check out both tracks and the video below!
