elrow Returning To NYC For Debut Two-Day Extravaganza Ft. Jackmaster B2B Skream, Lee Foss + More

It’s no secret that elrow parties are considered to be some of the best, most creative, and downright wildest parties in house music. Rightfully titled as the ‘World’s Wildest Immersive Party’, elrow is going bigger and better than ever this year, making their highly anticipated return to NYC, this time taking over The Great Hall at Avant Gardner. The celebrations starts on Saturday night, April 9 for nine and a half hours and then reopens for part two Sunday daytime, April 10 for ten more hours.

This year’s elrow will deliver an immersive, unforgettable experience like none other to New York for a weekend-long twisted take on the infamous “street party in a jungle” carnival celebration. So far, only Saturday’s lineup has been released and it’s a big one, featuring what are sure to be sensational B2B sets between Jackmaster & Skream, Latmun & Ben Sterling, and Local Singles & Poolhaus. Repopulate Mars head honcho Lee Foss is also joining the lineup, along with house legend Riva Starr and the exciting breakout house/tech house artist, Tini Gessler.

This is the first time the international party purveyor presents New Yorkers with their special two day Sambowdromo Do Brasil themed fiesta. Sambowdromo Do Brasil has always been one of elrow’s most popular themes, with its hedonistic Carnaval energy, outrageous outfits, and outlandish interactive performances. Attendees can plan on encountering locals including drummers, dancers, otherworldly creatures, stilt walkers, and native townspeople bearing welcoming gifts.

With Sambowdromo Do Brasil, elrow excels at conjuring the sights and sounds of an exotic jungle, making audiences feel like they’re in a magic forest surrounded by all kinds of wild animals and vibrant colorful costumed people where tons of confetti from giant air guns are likely to fill the air at any given moment with dazzling, multicolor explosions that compliment the larger-than-life artwork and set design.

Here’s what elrow had to say about it:

“We are so hyped about our Brazilian street party theme coming to New York! This is a very special weekend for us, as, in addition to the usual Saturday show, we debut a 10-hour Daytime Sunday edition, which is elrow’s original format, for the very first time in the United States,” states  Michael Julian, Head of elrow, North America.”

Claptone’s ‘Masquerade’ Is Coming To MMW 2022 Ft. Fatboy Slim, James Hype, LP Giobbi + More

March is almost upon us which means that finally, after two years of cancellations, Miami Music Week is back on to kick off festival season! Excitement is radiating all over social media for both the conference and the special events that will be taking place each night. Perhaps one of the most iconic events is making its return to Miami Music Week: Claptone’s ‘The Masquerade‘.

If you’re not familiar, ‘The Masquerade‘ is a series of events, birthed from the fantastical mind of Claptone. It is a magical place beyond your wildest dreams, a place where wonders abound and the house music flows, making Miami Music Week 2022 the perfect home.

Hosted at Hyde Beach & SLS South Beach on March 23, this year’s Masquerade boasts an exciting lineup, curated by Claptone himself, featuring a rare set from legend and Miami favorite, Fatboy Slim. James Hype, who had a massive 2021, is also hopping on the decks, along with house veteran Ferreck Dawn. LP Giobbi will also be gracing the 1’s and 2’s, as will disco house phenom Marco Rousso, rounding out this lineup. There’s something for everyone who attends this event and better yet, in true Masquerade style, a special guest is slated to be joining the lineup…

Here’s what Claptone had to say about it:

At its inception, ‘The Masquerade’ was an opportunity to influence more than just my personal musical set by bringing along other artists that I appreciate and playing in very specific, special venues. Over the iterations and chapters, I started to envision ‘The Masquerade’ as a world of its own. Most importantly though, I want to give people the chance to dive into a world where they can be whoever they want to be: a world without boundaries and without judgment.”

Your EDM Premiere: Exclusive Full Set from Andromedik and Liquicity to Go With “I See You” Release [Video]

We all know how tough and uncertain things were in 2020 and 2021 when it came to rave events and lineups. So many moving parts, from venues being shut down, a new government regulation apparently every minute, and of course artist travel problems. Hell, we’re still not out of the COVID muck in the second month of 2022. This inevitable and unavoidable glitch happened at the September 2021 Liquicity in Prague when Maduk, one of the hotly anticipated headliners, couldn’t make it due to travel restrictions. Luckily another Liquicity favorite, Andromedik, was able to step in. His set ended up being one of the highlights of that event and possibly the year.

With Andromedik’s latest single, “I See You” having just released last week, Liquicity decided it was a good time to also release the legendary Prague set on YouTube, and Your EDM has the premiere. With the pared-down yet nonetheless fervent audience (pared down for Liquicity, that is; the crowd was still massive) spurring on the epic energy, Andromedik ripped through a number of white labels, including “I See You” at the very beginning of the set. The energy of the set, COVID or no, is representative of Liquicity and will bring fans right back to those epic times at the biggest liquid festie on the planet.

The afore-mentioned “I See You” was a great way for Andromedik to open his set; melodic and emotive but with heavy dancefloor vibes, this track is a balanced look at Andromedik’s style and substance. Paired with vocalist Reink’s melodic verse, the synths charge the track forward as the starburst beat line ensure we’re well inside D&B lines even with the theatrical pop composition structure.

Andromedik’s Liquicty set and “I See You” are watchwords of what we’re all fighting for in the rave world; the freedom to create, to gather and to truly be “seen.” COVID and its regulations can’t take that from humanity and these two pieces are stating the goal, loud and clear: we must, and will, save the rave.

“I See You” is out now on Liquicity Records and can be streamed or purchased here. Check out other Liquicity sets on their YouTube Channel.

Said The Sky & Illenium Team Up With Chelsea Cutler On New Single, “Walk Me Home”

Said The Sky’s new album Sentiment drops next Friday, February 18 and he’s graced us with one last single featuring long-time friend Illenium as well as phenom Chelsea Cutler, “Walk Me Home.”

“Walk Me Home” marks yet another hit collaboration between Said The Sky and Illenium and the first for either with Cutler. Leaning on their tried and true emotional chords and vocals, the song takes a more aggressive tone in the last third with a heavier emphasis on grungy guitar and more emphatic synths and bass.

We’re interested to see where on the album this track lands, because it sounds like a perfect climax.

Someone Else and SIRUX Collab on Energetic Hardstyle Anthem, ‘Apocalypse’

Hardstyle is the genre that keeps on giving. For many years it was thought that this genre have just died off, well that’s anything far from the truth as this epic collaboration between Someone Else and SIRUX gives new energy and production prowess to this genre. Expect layers of catchy melody, climatic builds & non stop energy throughout the track.

Talking to Someone Else he comments on this next chapter, “I wanted a total overhaulas to what this project means to me, in my yearlong journey of soul searching, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I may not be the most consistent or successful so instead of worrying about getting my music where I want it to be, I want to make music I wish I existed, and songs that if I heard them I’d go like damn why didn’t I make something like this! The
possibilities are endless when you’re not limited by where you want to go with your music. I’m releasing hardstyle now, then I’ll put out a LoFi EP, or a melodic dubstep single next, who knows? Someone Else has something for everyone.”

Jon Suarez Pops-Off With New Club Banger “Social Distortion”

In his very first single of the year, Jon Suarez slaps us with his most bombastic work to date. “Social Distortion”, released on Darklight Recordings, unleashes a club-spirited concoction of party fuel, lively enough for a rowdy festival crowd but domesticated enough for a bar scene. The intro rides on hints of techno, making for a deep and almost mysterious vibe, until a unique relationship of jutting samples and glottal vocal chops begin to define the verse. Tension builds and a blaring brass section steals the chorus in triumph. Suarez continues to shine as a reliable source of spellbinding dance potions.

Jon Suarez’s music has always bolstered the spirit of the club. He’s from New York, having grown up in its club scene with a passion for DJing, which now directly plays into his production goals and style. Since his first releases in 2020, each of his new singles reflects more and more artistic maturity, yet they’ve remained fun and danceable from the beginning. Suarez truly delivers and shows no signs of stopping.
