Thomas Xavier Drops the Power House Anthem, ‘Ballin’

Thomas Xavier won us over with his Go To Church EP ride, now he’s back with “Ballin’,” a fascinating fusion of G-house, tech house, and a splash of flavor that only he can bring forth. “Ballin’,” marks the kick off of a tease from his anticipated Pussy On A Pedestal EP. If this next EP is anything like what “Ballin’” delivers, the solo producer is going to be winning over people left and right with this entertaining experience.

Signed to iamrecords, Thomas Xavier has now been signed to 2 different labels across 2 different EPs. Many signs point to this man being on the rise with only increased momentum seeming to come his way.

Delivering a club-friendly style that’s totally his own, Thomas Xavier’s chops shown off once again on this single is simply something not to be missed.

Principe Shares Infectious Rework Of John Denver’s “Country Roads”

Marking his debut single release, American producer Principe has just shared an infectious redo of John Denver’s “Country Roads” via Fine Business Music, an undisputed country classic that saw huge international success in the 70s. Showcasing his unparalleled production skills, Principe is able to infuse “Country Roads” with a whole new modern flavour, all while keeping the original’s classic feel. Smooth piano chords lead the way under the familiar vocal melodies, before thumping kicks and groovy basslines take over, making up for an instant summer hit.
“From Ibiza to Los Angeles, I plan on getting this summer singalong smash to all the best summer parties, BBQs, and hangouts. I believe this record has the power to connect people in this fragile time we live in,” says the producer.

Principe was born and raised in Los Angeles, and aims to do one thing with his music: “bend the conventional limits of music and create sonically unique landscapes for the people.” Having spent years playing traditional acoustic instruments, Principe got his first pair of turntables at the tender age of 10, and quickly started building up his vinyl collection, filled with 90s house, techno, and hip-hop. Now, Principe has spent the majority of the last year locked in the studio working on his debut album, and we couldn’t be more excited to hear more from him.

Whimsy Puts a Fresh Spin on Babe Club’s Infectious Anthem, ‘Need a GIrl’

South Carolina-based indie pop band Babe Club’s recent original release “Need A Girl” has been remixed by whimsy. The remix elevates the original song by adding fun and lighthearted elements of indie dance, while the lyrics reminisce on Jenna Desmond’s feelings being the only girl in a band.

whimsy is an American producer duo from Chicago entering the arena with a fresh, hybrid style influenced by everything from pop, indie, to electronic and hip-hop. whimsy is currently releasing dreamy remix after dreamy remix, combining distorted textures with glassy synths and heavy drums to flip the original tracks inside out. Their debut singles are set to release later this summer.

Released earlier this year, “Need A Girl” is a single off of Babe Club’s new five track EP, “Remember This Feeling.” Since their debut, the band has been on a steady trajectory to the top, as their craveable indie pop has won over fans and streaming platforms from the get-go. Kweku Saunderson & Dai Burger Drop Huge Collab “I Miss The Club” [LISTEN]

Shows are beginning to open up all over the country now and we couldn’t be more excited to get out and experience the electrifying culture of live shows. In a match made in music heaven, celebrated electronic producer Kweku Saunderson joined forces with acclaimed rapper Dai Burger for “I Miss The Club” a fun, zeitgeist-defining track that perfectly captures this unique moment in time, poised on the edge of the summer of 2021, in an age shot through with both hope and uncertainty.

It’s an high energy house tune that can’t help but get you moving whether you’re sitting in the office, working from home, or out in the club. “I Miss The Club” combines elements of minimal techno with a warm latin swing, sprinkled with Dai Burger’s inimitable and infectious sass and bite. Together, Kweku Saunderson & Dai Burger make an excellent team, making this hopefully the start of many more collaborations between both!

Many movements started in the club, the underground” Kweku Saunderson reflects, “I felt this record was a perfect way to resurrect the spirits of those who felt dormant this past year or so. Perhaps the song will awaken those movements and even start something new.”

FuntCase Goes Melodic As He Teams Up With Dia Frampton For “Flames”

FuntCase, known the world over for his aggressive and chest breaking dubstep, is back on Circus Records today with a unique melodic offering, “Flames,” featuring Dia Frampton.

Frampton has previously collaborated with Illenium and The Crystal Method, she has co-written and featured on singles for some of the most respected musicians in the industry – Kaskade, M83, Jason Ross, Watskyand Lindsey Stirling, to mention a few. Needless to say, her accolades speak for themselves, and it’s no wonder FuntCase teamed up with her on his first non-heavy release.

Haunting piano notes and Dia’s voice introduce the song, leading into an anthemic, melodic rise coupled with some drum line-esque snare rolls. It’s not long before the synth rise comes in pre-drop, and usual FuntCase fans might expect his normal switch up into something heavier. Instead, we get an absolutely brilliant melodic dubstep drop that easily goes up against the best of them.

This is destined to be a FuntCase masterpiece and one which has taken him yet again, up another level. Check it out below!

Marshmello & Subtronics Team Up For The Masked Producer’s Filthiest Collab Yet, “House Party”

Marshmello has been on an absolute tear releasing new music from his forthcoming album, Shockwave, out tomorrow. In just the past few weeks alone, he’s dropped collaborations with The Jonas Brothers, Nitti Gritti & Megan Thee Stallion, Carnage, and Eptic & Juicy J. Now, he’s out with (we assume) the final single before the album drops tomorrow, “House Party” with Subtronics.

Having followed Marshmello’s career since essentially its very beginning, we’ve learned over time that even collaborations with artists who are known within a specific genre might not turn out the way we think. Thankfully, that is not the case with “House Party,” as it is easily the filthiest collaboration the masked producer has ever released.

Mello’s previous album, Joytime III, had plenty of dubstep collaborations, with Slushii, TYNAN, Crankdat, and more. But none nearly as disgustingly bass driven as this with Subtronics, whose own abilities are clearly on display here.

Check out the full tracklist here and listen to the track below. Shockwave is out everywhere tomorrow!

Skrillex, Noisia, josh pan, & Dylan Brady Team Up On Mind-Melting “Supersonic”

josh pan and Dylan Brady originally released “Supersonic” on OWSLA in 2019, and it wasn’t long before Skrillex and Noisia got their hands on the single for an impromptu remix that had fans waiting years for the drop. Now in 2021, the four artists team up for a pure reimagining of the single with a brand new release, “Supersonic (My Existence).”

Rife with complex synths and chords, not to mention playing with elements of rhythm, tempo, and more, the song is an easily accessible yet still wildly experimental beauty of a tune. If you’re among Skrillex fans who haven’t been that hyped on his previous two singles this year, this one is definitely going to scratch that itch.
