Martron Drops the Ferocious, ‘Vibe’

“Vibe” strikes with a ferocious energy thanks to the efforts of rising producer Martron. The trap-influence perks up the ears with electric energy delivered through a hypnotic sample and technical edits. The drum-work keep the listener on their toes as the track passes through different phases of unique swagger. The first drop hits with a confident nature, yet it’s the second drop that makes the journey reach a peak with it’s quick hardstyle cut-time change that invokes a fist pumping near-involuntarily. The heater circles back to to the flow first heard at the start of the track, give a sense of completion on “Vibe.”

The solo DJ/producer based in the USA has had a gradual rise in presence over the years, showing off his evolving style through a dynamic blend of remixes and originals. The man has been around the block musically, having gained support from Nervo, NGHTMRE, and many others. The young talent has achieved well over 600K plays on Spotify and is just crossing the 200K on SoundCloud.

“Vibe” is just the latest of a large catalog Martron has to offer, if you dig this, dive into what he has on deck immediately.

Sacha Robotti serves iconic cover of “Fuck The Pain Away” by Peaches

The first time I was exposed to Peaches’ iconic “Fuck The Pain Away” was in an equally iconic scene from Season 5 of Letterkenny. Now, three years later, Sacha Robotti is here with a heart-pounding, tech house spin on the iconic track.

This rendition is high energy from start to finish; the growling bass stabs and the infectious percussion arrangement offer a fierce dance floor groove under the infamous vocals.

Obsessed is an understatement.

Herobust Will Make You “Lose Your Shit” With Brand New Single [LISTEN]

I don’t know if there’s another artist out there that goes harder than Hayden James, aka Herobust. The Atlanta native has a knack for packing a lot of punch and power in every track he releases. Herobust has garnered support from the biggest names in EDM including Diplo, Marshmello, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, DJ Snake, and many more.

Now, he’s back with a throbbing new single rightly titled as “Lose Your Shit“, out on his imprint Busted Records. The song is laced with a energetic rap vocal paired with thundering 808’s & trap drums. It builds into a purely electrifying drop that will have you head banging instantly.

Herobust said that he wanted to make heavy music that still sounded fun.  “Lose Your Shit is hard,” he explained, “but it doesn’t make your pregame feel like a satanic ritual.”  This downright glorious party track successfully fuses vocal chops and deep 808 kicks with industrial metallic sounds to bless us all with the perfect ATL trap inspired bass music.

Above & Beyond Unleash New Meditative Album ‘Flow State: Healing With Nature’ [LISTEN]

Above & Beyond tap meditative vibrations for their latest edition of Flow State, unexpectedly out today. Almost two years have passed since the original Flow State album released and now the next chapter has arrived — Flow State: Healing With Nature.

Guided by soft yet powerful vocals from Elena Brower, the ambient album opens up with intent and goes on to feature various calming sounds recorded from nature itself — “Rain,” “Wind,” “Night” and “Winter” — accentuated by delicate melodics signature of Above & Beyond.

One third of the trio, Paavo Siljamäki shares his personal experience with COVID-19 and how he made the best out of isolation:

Fortunately, I had the opportunity to travel to my forest hideout in Finland, where I could truly disconnect from the world’s happenings. I could heal in nature, away from it all. I stopped reading world news and instead of feeling disconnected, I found myself truly connected with nature, living a very simple life that felt more fulfilling each day.

He continues:

I began recording the sounds of nature at different times of the day and in different weather. I found these recordings healing, inspiring and calming. Taking them to my studio, I wanted to share this feeling with the world. So, I made these meditation tools to help others connect with nature, even those of us living a more urban lifestyle.

Listen below and read the full backstory that inspired Flow State: Healing With Nature here.

Smartbar Chicago Returns with an Explosive Opening Lineup; Honey Dijon, Octa Octa, Derrick Carter

With the city of Chicago lifting all restrictions as of June 11th, it wasn’t long before we began to see the flood gates of shows open up.

Smartbar, one of the cities premier house and techno clubs, made its return known with its surprise lineup drop at the start of this week. Tickets went on sale the moment they made the post, and it was no surprise that tall six events sold out almost immediately. Fans clamored at the hopes of getting to step foot back into this music mecca. I mean, who wouldn’t with artists like Honey Dijon, DJ Heather, Octa Octa, Eris Drew, Derrick Carter, and Michael Serafini rounding out the nights over the next two weeks.

This announcement came only hours after Lollapalooza released more than 50 afterparties for its festival weekend at the end of July. This city is in for one hell of a summer back, and no one does it quite like Chicago.

Lollapalooza announces over 50+ afterparties featuring Slander, Brownies & Lemonade, Elohim

It was only a month ago that Lollapalooza was given the all clear to go ahead at near-to or full capacity, and now we are met with an announcement over 50 after-parties over the course of the festival weekend.

Fans will get to continue their rampage across the city at events like Slander at Aragon Ballroom, Brownies and Lemonade; All-Stars & Friends at Chop Shop, Elohim at Lincoln Hall and even Limp Bizkit at Metro – if that’s what you’re into.

Check out the full list of afters below and snag your tickets for them here while you can.

These initial parties may seem light on the electronic side, but that is not to say that other venues across the city won’t pick up the slack. Sound Bar, your one-stop-shop for anything trance, all the way to bass, and everything in-between made a post on their Instagram stories that they would be reopening the weekend before Lollapalooza and then serving up five official afters from that Wednesday to Sunday! So don’t fret if what’s announced isn’t your cup of tea; there is a lot more still to be served up.
