Jauz & Micah Martin Drop Standout Dubstep Collab, “Forever” via Bite This! [LISTEN]

Jauz and Micah Martin join forces on their new collaborative single “Forever,” out now via Bite This!

“Forever” brings the heat, setting its intention as a bass-heavy dancefloor destroyer and tapping a classic dubstep sound. No stranger to the dance music scene, Micah adds soul to the already massive production with a potent vocal performance.

Jauz describes the new release as “A tribute to the era of Dubstep that I grew up on and love so much.”

“Forever” marks Jauz’s third single release of 2021, following up “Sick” with Sum 41’s Frank Zummo featuring We Are PIGS, and “Oceans & Galaxies” with HAILENE. Jauz will soon hit the road with a lineup of upcoming US appearances including HARD Summer as well as a HARD Fest London.

Jauz has remained busy in 2021, recently launching $BTX Coin, his own personal cryptocurrency via Rally. The currency aims to help emerging artists and their fans gain valuable exposure, release music, and even collaborate with him.

Kantor Goes to New Heights on Latest Smash, ‘Unbroken’

Kantor slays it again with “Unbroken,” a single that absolutely nails a mark showing off many of Kantor’s strong points at once. The USA-based DJ producer has variety of angles he comes at his dance music track’s with, future bass, house – vocal/non-vocal – all being apart of the palate seen from him before. “Unbroken” doubles down on the emotional side of what Kantor has to offer, the vocal taking off a stressful edge with it’s soothing quality, while the future bass rains down hard with it’s rhythmic nature. A trap influence in the percussion holds the setting here together nicely and hard hitting drums sharing a certain video-game edge to them.

Kantor has scored big since starting this project in late 2020. Alison Wonderland has spoken highly about him even having Kantor on her show, he’s achieved consistent if not growing results on Spotify, and has no issue injecting a vision into the music he puts out. More music will likely come from the hard-working multi-talent in good time. Until then, “Unbroken,” hold’s over nicely.

Zeds Dead Drop New House Single “Alive” with MKLA via Deadbeats

Zeds Dead are back with a brand new single, “Alive” with MKLA, celebrating their imminent return to the touring circuit. “Alive” sees Zeds Dead gravitating to house music, continuing their multi-genre approach to music production and building on their signature sound.

“Alive” is Zeds Dead’s first release since their genre-defying mixtape Catching Z’s in March, a project that runs the gamut of electronic music, blending elements of downtempo, drum and bass, and house into a cohesive 13-track project. While Catching Z’s was released on the recently launched Altered States record label, “Alive” drops on Zeds Dead’s own label Deadbeats.

MKLA and Zeds Dead shared some words about their collaboration:

“This is one of my favorite songs that I feel like I’ve ever written and working with Zeds Dead on it has been one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had on a record, yet. Zeds Dead are artists who believe in making music that feels conceptual, meaningful, and emotional – I’d gotten a sense of this even before we started working together because the vocals / lyrics they showcase always have something deeper to say and the artists they work with are the same. I’m really grateful that I could connect with such legendary artists in such a meaningful, artful way.” – MKLA

“We’re excited to get this new one out with our friend MKLA and to play it out at our first shows back since March 2020 this weekend at DeadRocks!” – Zeds Dead

Eric Prydz Teases New Production for Sensorium Galaxy’s ‘PRISM World’ Virtual Concert Series

Eric Prydz is known for his awe-inspiring, mind-bending live production as seen in his EPIC shows and more recently with HOLOSPHERE. Now, he’s bringing that same innovation into a virtual world as part of a new series on the soon-to-launch VR platform Sensorium Galaxy.

Prydz joins a growing roster of artists, including David Guetta, Black Coffee, Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike set to perform a series of shows on the virtual stages of PRISM World, the extraordinary music hub for virtual reality events on Sensorium Galaxy.

Eric Prydz says of the new collaboration:

I believe metaverses are taking digital events to the next stage, which is one of the main elements that has drawn me to this project. Working with cutting edge technology to deliver special performances has always been mine and my team’s goal, but to now take what we do in a physical space into a digital environment, creating endless possibilities, is so exciting!

Prydz has been at the forefront of electronic music, as well as live production, for more than a decade. Kayzo Releases Short Documentary “NEW BREED” Detailing His Career Thus Far [WATCH]

I remember meeting Kayzo in person for the first time, sitting down for an interview in the valley in Los Angeles at this little pizza place with his manager, Jon Rieker, back in 2015. We talked about his time in D1 hockey, his time at Icon Collective, his hopes and goals as an artist. It’s a little crazy to think about how much has changed since then and the absolutely insane strides that Kayzo has made in his career … thankfully, I don’t have to expend too much thought power on it myself because the his short documentary, NEW BREED, is out now.

The video takes us from some of his earliest moments, playing with friends like Dotcom, Yultron, and Ookay — collectively known as The Binches — to collaborating with Frank Zummo, Atreyu, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, and more.

It’s a phenomenal trip down memory lane as well as a unique insight into the mind and journey of Kayzo, who has without a doubt carved out a scene entirely unto himself over the past 6-7 years.

Best of all, after finishing the video, I only felt like his best was still to come.

Red Rocks Clarifies Recent Mixhalo Offering, Denies It Has Turned Down The Sound

The EDM community recently went into a bit of an uproar after an announcement that Red Rocks was offering Mixhalo above Row 40 at the venue. When the legendary venue first shared about the partnership with the audio experience app, it said, “Even if you’re in the back it’ll sound like the front row!”

Not entirely unpredictably, this led fans to believe that they might have turned down the volume again after they’d done it before in 2016. However, that is not the case.

Red Rocks released a statement following some online discussion assuring fans that there has been “no change […] made to sound limits at Red Rocks since 2016.” Mixhalo provides an augmented listening experience to those who want it, it was never meant as a replacement for the actual sound coming from the venue itself.

You can read their full statement below.
